OK let me get this straight. I. Am. Not. A. Fan. Of. Super. Man. i just had this idea and was only logical to put superman in the middle of it. It was actually supposed be some kind of sad painting that tells people about the horrors of men and global warming and the panda bears or whatever but ultimately that didn't work out, so i resorted to this. Yes i know superman doesn't look like that. I tried my best to make it look manly but really, manly = ugly. This is the first time i've made a watercolor painting b/w (except for the main focus - superman) I am still in need of practicing with a pen and ink. I'll try a different nib next time, perfertably something that doesn't splatter everywhere. But i did manage to get in some super details in there - find a cat, flowe pot, and a child! When i was doing this, i kind of pictured new york, so you'll see some architecture like it. (i kind of failed at the empire state building... you probably went like "wait, there's an empire state building in here?")
Hope you enjoy! 'cause i didn't! Please look around my gallery, call it crap, and then watch me so you can look at some quality art that i will start to upload very soon! WATCH ME. PLEASE.
Amazing idea, but I think you need way more 'oomph' on such a picture. The buildings I think are the best bits, but the whole thing needs more depth I think. Love the idea though. were you inspired by this? [link]
thank you and i agree, it's boring right now. I'll probably end up doing an improved version later on. And no, i was just struck with the idea one day when i looked at some buildings and saw that it formed a lopsided L
Love the idea though.
I lice the perspective you've used and superman's pose =]
Keep it up!
